Luckily it is just the monsters from her neighbourhood inviting her to their ball. She has fun dancing with all the monsters before being sent back home with a lovely slice of slime cake!

Review:
This is the 2nd book by Giles that my son and I have read together and like Fearsome Beastie, it was fun and overall we enjoy it. As soon as Giles asked if I could review I knew straight away I would say yes lol. I read this as soon as I downloaded into on my phone and then again that night to my son. I think I enjoyed it a lot more than he did though. I am a big kid at heart. lol.

It's about a young girl called Tamara Small who one night is taken away by a monster. However, she is taken to the village hall to enjoy a wonderful Monster Ball with all sorts of friendly monsters. Like The Fearsome Beastie, Tamara Small and the Monster's Ball is very bright and eye catching for young readers. My son is still learning to read so I helped him with a some of the words but he managed to get through the story because of wonderful and magical rhymes and the fantastic illustrations help him with what was going on in the story.

However, being the main character is a girl, it put my son off a little. He did still enjoy it and thought the dancing and slime cake was very funny but he is a right little boy (Aged 5) and he think all girls a horrible lol. That being said I myself really enjoyed it. Giles has produced yet another children's book that can be enjoyed by young and old. And we can't wait for more of this authors work!!
